Sarah was born at
Fredericksburg, Washington Co., Indiana, on 22 September 1845. She was the daughter of
John B. Horner and
Sabina Loughmiller. She was listed as a ward in 1853. Sarah Lucrettia Horner lived circa 1861 at
Monroe Co., Indiana; At the time of her marriage, Sarah was living with her grandmother, Sarah Fish Loughmiller in a log house just south of Harrodsburg (the Stipp family lived at the north side of Harrodsburg). This is the house that Jonas Loughmiller and Sarah Fish had lived in. In the 1960's the remains of this house were still standing. She married
John Oscar Stipp Jr. at
Indiana on 17 September 1861. Sarah was listed as a household member living with
John Oscar Stipp Jr. on the 1870 Census at
Clear Creek Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana. Sarah was listed as
John Oscar Stipp Jr.'s wife on the 1880 Census at
Perry Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana. Sarah was listed as
John Oscar Stipp Jr.'s wife on the 1900 Census at
Perry Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana. Sarah died on 18 August 1918 at
Clear Creek Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana, at age 72. Her body was interred in August 1918 at
Clear Creek Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana, at Clear Creek Cemetery.
