      Henry Micholls was also known as Hirsch Nicholls 'of Dercham.2,3' He was born in 1728; and has been described as being 'of Dereham' in Norfolk.4,5 He married Grenendla (Rachael) Mapthali circa 1773.6,7 Henry Micholls and Grenendla (Rachael) Mapthali are recorded to have had six children: Leah, Henry, Anne, Edward Emanuel, Solomon and Sarah.6,8 Henry Micholls died on 22 July 1815 at Norfolk, England.9 He was buried at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England; and the gravestone transcribed by Rabbi Dr Bernard Susser in The Norwich, Ipswich & Great Yarmouth Jewish Cemeteries: '3 Henry Michaels.
