The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother John HOPKINS is exonerated from serving as deacon for this church at his own request.

August 1st Saturday 1835
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion it is considered by the church to be wrong for members of this church to invite preachers of other orders to have stated meetings at this place over the feelings of their brethren. 2nd The Clerk to prepare a letter to the association and present it at next meeting for inspection and brethren Thomas HILL, Thomas HILL, Jr., Jesse ROBERTSON, and Zechariah BUSH to bear the same. 3rd Whereas Sister Isabel PRICHARD has left this state without requesting a letter of dismission from this church she is no longer a member with us. Adjourned to meet the 5th Saturday in this month.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The letter to the association presented and adopted. 2nd The church agree with A. HILL to keep the meetinghouse for one year at eight dollars.

December 1st Saturday, 1835
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st on motion it is agreed that an election be held at next meeting for trustees for this church of which the clerk shall give public notice 2nd On motion is it decided by this church that John B. NEW and all that hold with him shall not be permitted to preach in our meetinghouse. 3rd Agreed to procure a lock for the meetinghouse and give the key into the hand of the doorkeeper. 4th Received by letter John HILL and Telila HILL. No further business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother James EARL exhibited a charge against Brother Matthew ARBUCKLE and Sister Catharine ARBUCKLE of unchristian like conduct and on motion Brethren John OSBOURN, Jesse JOHNSON, Thomas HILL, Jr., John HOPKINS, and John COBB are appointed to visit the brethren and if possible settle the difficulty and report at next meeting. 2nd Brethren John HOPKINS, Jesse JOHNSON, and Allen HILL are elected trustees for this church for the ensuing year. No other business appearing adjourned.

Sister Eliza SCOTT (LETT?) departed this life Jan 14th 1836.

February 1st Saturday 1836
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Where as Brethren John HOPKINS and Jesse JOHNSON have encouraged doctrine contrary to the views of this church and over the feelings of their brethren, and refusing to give satisfaction, on motion they are considered no longer members of this body. 2nd James HOPKINS, Body W. HUDSON, John BENNETT, Frances HUDSON, Sally FOWLER, Jane FOWLER, Thomas DAVIS, William HUDSON, and Evan GRIFFITHS withdrew from the church and are considered no longer members with us. 3rd The committee appointed at last meeting to visit Brother EARL and Brother and Sister ARBUCKLE report that the difficulty is settled. 4th Dismissed by letter Sister Elizabeth AREHEART. No other business appearing adjourned.

March 1st Saturday 1836
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother Daniel LOTT and Brother Jesse ROBINSON are appointed to visit Brother Abram P KEITH and Brethren William LEWIS and Aaron SCOTT to visit Brethren John T. TOBIAS and William TOBIAS and converse with them on the subject of their having acted disorderly and (report at next meeting if the brethren satisfy them and if not) request their attendance at next meeting. 2nd On motion it is agreed that Brother Jesse W. Robinson have the license and approbation of this church to preach the Gospel wherever God in his providence may cast his lot. 3rd Received a request from Middlefork Church for ministers and members to meet with them at their next meeting to assist in the ordination of Brother William Wallace, whereupon Brethren Thomas HILL and Jesse W. Robinson agree to attend. 4th Zilpah HOPKINS, Rebecca HOPKINS, James EARL, Mary RENFROW, Martha COX, Absalom HUDSON, Polly HUDSON, and Nancy JOHNSON withdrew from the church and are considered no longer members with us. No other business appearing adjourned.

April the 1st Saturday 1836
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother Mason P. KEITH came to the church and gave satisfaction. 2nd On motion Brethren Aaron SCOTT, Thomas COBB, Thomas HILL, Jr., Barnet GADDY, and John OSBOURN are appointed a committee to meet and hear the difficulty between Brother John, T and William TOBIAS and the evidence connected with the same and report at next meeting. 3rd The church agrees to meet on the Sunday after the third Saturday in each month and also to hold prayer meeting on the second and fourth Sundays of each month. 4th Brethren Balaam LETT and John HILL are elected trustees for this church. No other business appearing adjourned.

May the 1st Saturday 1836
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The committee appointed to hear the difficulty between John T. TOBIAS & William TOBIAS report that the difficulty remains unsettled and on motion they are considered no longer members with us. 2nd Received by letter Jerusha HOLMES. No other business appearing adjourned.

June 1st Saturday 1836
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brethren Thomas HILL chosen moderator and Allen HILL clerk for the ensuing year. 2nd On motion it is agreed that the trustees of this church shall draft a plan and make an estimate of the probable expense of a pulpit for the meetinghouse and present it at next meeting. No other business appearing adjourned.

July 1st Saturday 1836
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The trustees being unable to present a plan of a pulpit at this time and it apparent that funds have been obtained sufficient to make a pulpit and sent the house it is agreed that the trustees with Brethren Thomas COBB and Thomas HILL do provide materials and make the best contract they can for the completion of said work. 3rd Dismissed by letter Rebecca JAMES and William LANDRON. No other business appearing adjourned.

August the 1st Saturday 1836
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion brethren James HAMMOND and Balaam LETT are appointed to visit Brother James STUDMANN and request him to attend at next meeting and answer to a report of his having acted disorderly. 2nd Brethren Daniel LETT Aaron SCOTT are appointed to visit Brother William BENNETT and request him to attend at next meeting and answer to a report of his having acted disorderly. 3rd The clerk to prepare a letter for this church to the next association and present it at next meeting for inspection and Brethren Thomas HILL, Thomas HILL, Jr., Z. BUSH and Jesse W. ROBINSON are appointed to bear the same.

August 5th Saturday 1836
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother Jas STUDMAM came forward and gave satisfaction to the church. 2nd On motion the case of Brother BENNETT is continued until next meeting. 3rd The letter to the association presented and approved and the church agree to request the next association 4th Agreed with Balaam LETT to keep the meetinghouse the ensuing year at eight dollars. Adjourned.

Brother Benjamin GRAVES departed this life September 1836.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother William BENNETT came forward and gave satisfaction to the church. 2nd Dismissed by letter Sister Elizabeth BURNETT. Adjourned.

December 1st Saturday 1836
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion Brethren Balaam LETT and Henry COBB are appointed to visit Brother Samuel GREEN and enquire in to a report of his having acted disorderly and request him to attend at next meeting and answer to said report. 2nd The church request Brother John HILL to attend her third Sunday meetings. 3rd Benjamine RANDALL requested for himself and wife to have their names taken from the church book, which is granted, and they are considered no longer members with us. Adjourned.

January 1st Saturday 1837
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The brethren appointed at last meeting to visit Brother Samuel GREEN made their report and he not appearing to answer to the complaint against him thereby disobeying the church, he is therefore considered no longer a member with us. 2nd Whereas Elmer GRIFFITHS, Jr., Joshua HUDSON and Tabitha HUDSON have united with another denomination they are therefore considered no longer members with us. 3rd On motion Brother John OSBOURN is appointed to visit Sister Magdilla HUDSON and Sister Nancy THOMAS and ascertain if they have connected with the reformers and report at next meeting. 4th Received by letter William D. BACON and Esther BACON. No other business appearing adjourned.

February 1st Saturday 1837
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother OSBOURN reported that he visited Sister Magdilla HUDSON and learned from her that she had united with the reformers. She is therefore considered no longer a member with us. 2nd On motion Brethren John OSBOURN, Charles SNOWDEN, Thomas COBB, and Allen HILL are appointed to visit Sister Hannah EARL (CARL?) and converse with her and ascertain her reason for asking to withdraw from the church and if possible to remove the difficulty. No further business appearing adjourned.

March 1st Saturday 1837
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The brethren appointed at last meeting to visit and converse with Sister Earl made their report and Sister EARL agreed for the present to withdraw her request. 2nd Dismissed by letter Brother Nathan ROBERTSON and Sister Anne ROBERTSON and then adjourned.

Brother Daniel LETT (SCOTT?) departed this life March 27th 1837

April 1st Saturday 1837
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Whereas Catharine BENNETT, Nancy THOMAS, Edward RANDALL and Tilly RANDALL have united with another denomination on motion they are considered no longer members with us. 2nd It is agreed that Brother John HILL have the license and approbation of this church to preach the gospel wherever God in his providence may cast his lot. No other business appearing adjourned.

May 1st Saturday 1837
The church met and after praise and prayer Having no business to transact adjourned.

June 1st Saturday 1837
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Thomas HILL chosen moderator and Allen HILL clerk. 2nd Agreed to call Elder Thomas HILL Sen to the pastoral care of the church and he being present accepted the invitation. 3rd Whereas John THOMAS, Mary HUGHES, Elenor GRIFFITHS, Mary BENNETT and Esther OATLY have united with another denomination they are considered no longer members with us. 4th The subject of Articles of Faith came up for consideration and after some time spent therein it is continued until next meeting and then the meeting adjourned.

July 1st Saturday 1837
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The reference of last meeting respecting articles of Faith taken up and on motion it is agreed that so much of the business of our April meeting in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty five as relates to articles of faith be rescinded. 2nd Reuben S. COBB, John COX and Almera COBB withdrew from the church and are considered no longer members with us. 3rd Brother William S. BACON is appointed to visit Brother Jas STEDMAN and cite him to attend at next meeting and answer to a charge of having acted disorderly. 4th Received a request from some members of Baptist churches on Six-Mile Creek for aid in constituting whereupon Brethren T. HILL, T. COBB, and John OSBOURN agree to attend. 5th Received a communication from Ebenezer Church requesting the ordination of Brother Jesse W. ROBINSON which is taken up and on motion is agreed that Brother Jesse W. ROBINSON be set apart to the work of the ministry and it is further agreed to send to Vernon Friendship and White River Churches for counsel and aid in his ordination at our next meeting. Brethren William A. BACON and Henry COBB agree to bear a request to Vernon, brethren B. LETT and Mat ARBUCKLE to Friendship and brethren B. GADDY and Chas SNOWDEN to White River. 6th Received by letter Sidney BUTLER, Keziah BUTLER, Benjamin ROBINS and Maria ROBINS. No further business appearing adjourned.

August 1st Saturday 1837
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion Brethren T. OSBOURN, Wm D. BACON, J COBB A. SCOTT and B. GADDY are appointed to visit Sister Hannah EARL and Sister Catharine ARBUCKLE and converse with them and inquire into a difficulty existing between the sisters and remove the same if possible and report at next meeting. 2nd The case of Brother STEDMAN is continued until next meeting. 3rd The reference respecting the ordination of Brother Jesse W. ROBINSON taken up and on motion is agreed by the church that Brother John HILL also be set apart to the work of the ministry. Then came the counsel (to wit) from Vernon William T. STOTT, Joseph COWEL, Wm FRANCES and A. VAWTOR from White river John CHAMLON and Abram WHEAT, Friendship, Z BUSH and Richard SIMMONS Brother William VAUTER of ZION(?)***** Church and brother T. HILL Jr. being present were invited to a seat with the counsel and after examination and consultation it is agreed by both church and council that Brother Jesse W. ROBINSON and Brother John HILL be at this time set apart to work of the ministry whereupon Elders Wm. T. STOTT, Thomas HILL, and Thomas HILL, Jr. proceeded at the request of the church to set them apart to the work of the ministry by prayer and the laying on of hands. 4th The clerk to prepare a letter for this church to the next association and present it at next meeting for inspection. 5th Allen HILL is excused from serving as deacon at his own request. 6th Dismissed by letter Sister Margaret HOLLINGSEAD. No other business appearing adjourned to meet on the fourth Saturday of this month.

Sunday August 6th
rec'd by letter Sister Hester SNOWDEN. August 4th Saturday 1837
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The brethren appointed at last meeting to visit Sister EARL and Sister ARBUCKLE made their report and the church accept the acknowledgement of Sister ARBUCKLE in reference to he contradicting Sister EARL. 2nd The case of Brother James STEDMAN taken up and he not appearing thereby disobeying the church and it further appearing that he has acted disorderly since last meeting the church say he is no longer a member with us. 3rd Brother William BENNETT in consequence of his request to withdraw from the church and Jos FOWLER, Jane FOWLER, Cynthia THOMAS, Betsy BENNETT and Betsy HUDSON in consequence of their connecting with another denomination are considered no longer members with us. 4th The letter to the association presented and accepted and brethren Thomas HILL, Thomas HILL, Jr, Jesse W. ROBINSON and John HILL are chosen to bear the same and then the meeting adjourned.

October 1st Saturday 1837
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion brethren John OSBOURN and Aaron SCOTT are appointed to visit Brother Israel KASHOW and invite him to attend at next meeting and answer to a report of his having acted disorderly. 2nd Received a request from the church at Concord for ministers and members to counsel with them and aid in the ordination of Brother Caleb MONCREIF whereupon Brethren John OSBOURN and Allen HILL agree to attend. 3rd On motion it is agreed that the trustees make such contract in future for keeping the meeting house as to them shall seem advisable and the church agree to defray the expense. 4th Received by letter Joseph WINSCOTT. No other business appearing adjourned.

Oct meeting 1837
The trustees agreed with Pleasant JONES to keep and furnish the meetinghouse for six months at five dollars.

Friday November 3rd 1837
The church met according to previous appointment and after praise and prayer 1st The brethren appointed at last meeting to visit Brother Israel KRESHOW made their report and he not being present the further consideration thereof is continued until next meeting. 2nd The church instruct the trustees to have an arch turned over the chimney of the meetinghouse. 3rd Received by letter Anna LEWIS.

Wednesday Nov. 8th 1837
rec'd by relation Betsy GUINN and Sally TOBIAS and by experience for baptism Richard COBB, William SWINCHER and Mary TOBIAS, Samuel GREEN made acknowledgement and was restored to fellowship.

December 1st Saturday 1837
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The reference respecting Brother Israel KASHOW taken up and he not appearing to answer to the complaint against him on motion he is considered no longer a member with us. 2nd Received a communication from the church at Union requesting the ordination of Brother Charles SNOWDEN which was read and on motion it is agreed by the church to comply with the request and that we send to White River Lick Branch and Mount Moriah churches for aid and counsel at our next meeting for that purpose, Brother Thomas HILL, sen to bear a request to White River, Henry COBB to Lick Branch, and John HILL to Mount Moriah. No other business appearing adjourned.
