     George was born at York Co., Pennsylvania, circa 1881. He was the son of Emanuel Dellinger and Fannie Young. He married Katie Trimmer at York, York Co., Pennsylvania, on 1 September 1901. George was listed as the head of a family on the 1910 Census at Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. He died on 10 July 1961 at Lancaster, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. He was New Tag Obituary from a 11 July 1961 newspaper:

Manchester - George W. Dellinger, Sr., Lancaster, formerly of this place, died at 12:40 a.m. yesterday in Lancaster General hospital. The husband of the late Katie Trimmer Dellinger, he was 79.

Mr. Dellinger, a retired carpenter, was born in York county, a son of the late Emanuel and Fannie Young Dellinger. He resided in Lancaster for the past 15 years.

Surviving are two sons, George W. Dellinger, Jr., this place and Irvin A. Dellinger, 19 Mt. Zion road, York; a daughter, Mrs. Naomi K. Sipe, also of Manchester; seven grandchildren, a great grandchild, a brother, Edward Dellinger, Hellam RD 1, and a half sister, Mrs. Rosie Fake, Delroy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from the Zeigler Funeral home, by Rev. I.K. Baker, retired EUB minister, of Red Lion. Interment will be in Mt. Rose cemetery, York."
On 11 July 1961 at Pennsylvania. He was buried on 12 July 1961 at Mt. Rose Cemetery, Springgarden Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania.

George died on 5 July 1884 at age 61. His body was interred in July 1884 at Cherryville, Gaston Co., North Carolina, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

     George W. Dellinger was born on 25 May 1888. He was the son of James Perry Dellinger and Amanda Jane Bailey. George W. Dellinger married Bonnie Jean McCharque. George W. Dellinger lived in December 1937 at Jonesboro, Tennessee. He died on 14 February 1954 at Unicoi Co., Tennessee, at age 65; George W. Dellinger was 67 years old when he was clubbed to death in the Marbleton Community of Unicoi County, Tennessee on February 14, 1954. He retired in 1951 after being employed by the city of Johnson City for 37 years. He was a Water Department maintenance man.

Held in his death was Luther Bowman (his nephew) who was 38. Bowman's wife, Lucy, told investigating officers that her husband struck Dellinger "two or three times" with the barrell of a shotgun during an agrument at the Bowman residence. She said both men had been drinking.

Mrs. Bowman said Dellinger came to her home early Sunday, had been given a haircut by her husband and stayed for dinner. Bowman and Dellinger always were good friends, she said.

Dr. R.H. Harvey, coroner, said Dellinger died of blows to the head. A blood-stained shotgun was found at the death scene.

Held in the death by Unicoi County authorities is Luther Bowman, 38 years of age. Bowman's bond was set at $5,000 after a murder charge was filed against him by Eugene Dellinger, son of the victim.

Thomas Garland, son of John Garland, Unicoi was placed under a $500 appearance bond. Garland, home on furlough from the Army, was arrested by authorities at the scene of the death. He has not been charged in the death." He was buried in February 1954 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Johnson City, Washington Co., Tennessee.
