Note   According to Sandi Tilley Coxe, a granddaughter of Charles Blaine Tilley, her grandfather had a sister named Virginia or Ginnie, whose husband Dr. John Knight, disappeared with out a trace. I was also told by Conley Worley, that some relation of his mother-in-law's Tilley family was a doctor who disappeared while riding somewhere on a train. Loraine Blevins Brown, whose father or grandfather I believe was a first cousin to Ginnie, also rememberd the story of the disappearance. There is no daughter named Virginia in the family in the 1900 census, but there is a "Susan V," born Jan 1882. Klovia McKennon Tilley, who collected family information and submitted it to the LDS Ancestral file, lists both a "Susan W. Tilley," born Jan 1882, and a "Virginia Belle Tilley," born 1/1/83, in the family. In the Oakdale Cemetery, in a plot purchased by Mrs. A.E. Tilley, there is a Virginia Knight born 1/1/1883. I cannot account for the difference in birth years, but Susan V and Virginia have got to be the same person, or Virginia would have been listed in the household n 1900.2,5,6,4

John Knight

Note   He was a physician. Disappeared without a trace. Conley Worley remembers hearing that he was going somewhere on a train. Lorene Blevins Brown doesn't remember the train part, but does remember that he disappeared, leaving a wife and young children. Per Sandra Tilley Coxe: They had 2 children, John and Mabel.
Mabel married Richard S. Fulton and they live in Winston-Salem, NC. The last
contact my mother had with them was Dec. 1996 so I don't know if they are still
alive.

Marriage circa 1769  Caty ?Wash married John Gambill, son of Henry Gambill and Mary Davenport, circa 1769. 
Note   I have seen Caty's surname given as Wash, but I've seen no source for that name. John's brother William married a Wash, so it's definitely possible. Some sources, including Louis Johnson and William Perry Johnson, do not give a surname for her, so I doubt if it's a given that Wash was her name.
