Names taken from first page of the original Bethel Record book, the Translation by Dr. Bernheim. Page 33 Henry Hahn and wife, Christine. Their son, Henry, was born Jan 17, 1798. He was baptized April 8, 1798. Sponsors were William Heynesman and Mary Ann Blackwelder. The records Indicate that they took the Holy Communion in the Buffalo Creek Church May 28, 1798. (I think this is Martin - possibly his name was Henry Martin or Martin Henry. The 1800 census shows only 1 son age 0-10.)

John Henry HAHN was born on 25 Dec 1819 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, USA,(1, 2, 19, 20) died on 4 Jun 1862 in Cabarrus County,North Carolina, USA, at age 42,(1, 2) and was buried in 1862 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, USA Henkelite Cemetery (1, 7).

Another name for John was Henry HAHN (21).

General Notes: John Henry died in June 1862, after having prescriptions from Dr John L Henderson from the end of March through the middle of April. He was buried in a coffin made from walnut plank by Isaac Lowder, for a cost of $3. He had no will, and the court was petitioned in July 1862 to have J J Misenheimer made administrator of the estate. The following day, Martin Barringer and Dr J L Henderson were appointed commissioners to view the estate and to allot and set apart to his wife Elizabeth Hahn so much of the crop stock and provision belonging thereto as may be adequate to support herself and family for one year.

John Henry's home place eventually ended up belonging to his youngest son, Jeff Davis Hahn. His baptism was sponsored by his father's parents.

It also tells Matthew and Lodocus to give the girls $60.00 each and etc. The only girl mentioned by name is Elizabeth Pernina, As the youngest girl. His wife is listed as Barbry Ann Hahn.
