Item, I give and bequeath to eldest son James Fargesson my
pistols and holsters and four head of sheep.
Item, I give and bequeath to my eldest daughter Elizabeth
Scanland Craine one cow and calf.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Cropon one shilling but
if my beloved Ann Fargesson thinks fit to give her the bed
whereon they now lay, she may use her pleasure.
I give and bequest to my son John my riding horse and saddle and
all the rest of my whole estate both real and personal, I leave
to my dear beloved wife Ann Fargesson during the time of her
widowhood and after her death to equally divided among the
children that now live with her and of this my last will and
testament, I do make Executors my dear beloved wife, Ann
Fargesson and my son James Fargesson. In witness whereof I have
set my hand and seal."

James Farguson (Jr.) comes into court and makes Oath that ANNE
FARGUSON deceased died without any Will so far as he knows or
believes and on his motion Certificate is granted for him for
obtaining Letters of Administration in due Form. John Perkins
entering himself Security for the same.
Ordered that William Ford, Giles Letcher, Robert Burton, and
Joseph Farrar...do appraise the estate of ANNE FARGUSON..."

following their son James. He had settled in Goochland County
and married, prior to 1738, Agnes Adams, daughter of Robert
Adams, Sr. and his wife Mourning (Lewis?)."

This indenture made the 18th day of July 1730 between Joseph
Mann, John Farguson and John Croxton of South Farnham Parish,
Essex County.
That the said Joseph Mann for the sum of 34 pounds current money
of Virginia to him in hand by John Farguson and John Croxton
doth grant, bargain and confirm onto John Farguson and John
Croxton and their heirs forever all the rights, title and
interest to a certain parcel of land containing 6 acres in the
above Parish and being part of a tract formerly belonging to
Frances Brown, dec'd. Beginning at a White Oak to a corner
between Joseph Mann and John Farguson from there to a corner
maple between John Farguson and John Croxton's land to a corner
hickory. To John Farguson and John Croxton and their heirs
forever.
