Penn or the Welch Tract in Delaware before maturity. He stayed
there for 30 years and then petitioned for land on the PeeDee in

preach and he became the third pastor of the Welch Neck Church

From John A. RUTH, "The History of the Ruth Family"
p. 125, "A Companion Volume":
9003 - PETER RUTH (9001) born about 1753, died in 1833, aged
about 80 years, m. Mary FLUCK. In his "History of the Ruth
Family" [LDS film #0216697 item 5], John A. RUTH supposes that
she was the daughter of Ludovick FLUCK. But in the more recently
published "The History and Genealogy of the Descendants of
Johannes Fluck and Anna Mary Fluck" by Charles H. Price, Jr., it
seems quite certain that Mary was not Ludovick's (Ludwig)
daugher but rather his sister, the daughter of immigrant
Johannes (John), being one of the youngest of nine children,
baptized April 15, 1753 at the Tohickon Reformed Church (in
Bucks Co.) The parents with perhaps five children left their
home in the Kreuznah or Mainz (Germany) area, boarded the ship
"Phoenix", bound for Philadelphia, Pa., where they arrived on
Oct. 20, 1744. It is believed that Mary outlived her husband
several years.
[Note: I am able to find Anna Mary's baptism record, d/o John
and Anna Mary, in Humphrey, Bucks, p. 92, Tohickon records.
Casper and Ludwig appear to be the sons of Philip and Barbara,
not John, as the passage above indicates.--CEB]
