Brief History:
This family settled in Crawford County, IL. The Rathbone Genealogy notes that Cynthia Rathbone married James Delzell in Newark and that James Dalzell died in Crawford Co. IL. The stone at his grave in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Prairie Twp., show he was over 97 years old when he died in 1885 and that his wife, Cynthia died a year later at age 83 .References:
