TAKE NOTICE
WHEREAS Peter Colby, Husband of the Subscriber, in February 1808, left his home in Sanbornton, under pretence of going a trading voyage into the State of Vermont, and has left his afflicted Family to mourn his absence...His wife takes this method to inform him (if these lines should fall into his hands) that his absence is the most intolerable burden that she can be doomed to bear, of any earthly affliction; as she is conscious before God that she has not in any degree violated her obligations to him, to merit such treatment; she therefore conjures him by all the ties of nature, and the stronger ties of Grace, to return to his Family; and in a peculiar manner to remember the obligations he is under to his tender Offspring, who in the silent watches of night, are lamenting their absent parent and watering their couches with their youthful tears, and willing as is their mother to go with him, if it is his request, to Earth's remotest bounds; as she is sehtible that his heart is not callour to the feeling of humanity.

***She wishes the Printers throughout the United States, to give the above, with this request, a place in their respective papers and thereby aid the cause of humanity, and lay an afflicted family under the highest obligations of gratitude. MOLLY COLBY
