F, b. circa 1630, d. circa 1675
  • The Griswold Family Genealogy (1990) does not name the wife of Francis Griswold but states that she was not a daughter of Lieut. Thomas Tracy as she was at one time thought to be, but she may possibly be a daughter of Stephen and Typhosa (Lee) Tracy of Plymouth (no relation to Thomas Tracy). David Jay Webber, in 2001 (NEHGR 155:245-250) calls her Sarah, and gives arguments for identifying her as the second wife of Maj. William Bradford. Among them being that although the family of Francis Griswold resided and the children were born at Norwich, Connecticut, two of the younger daughters, Hannah and Lydia, married men from Plymouth and lived their adult lives at Plymouth.
