He was received as an inhabitant of Portsmouth on 3 Mar 1656/57 and on 18 May 1658 was made a Freeman of the Colony. He was on a Corner's Inquest at Portsmouth in 1661, and on a petit jury in 1670 and 1673. His ear mark for livestock was entered on 16 Jan 1667.5
